Belly Balm

After many requests, we have developed a balm just for mamas-in-waiting! We use only gentle pure essential oils of tangerine, cold-pressed sea buckthorn berry, neroli (orange blossom) and German chamomile for scenting this luxurious balm. And, it takes our rich Body Butter a giant step further, with the addition of emu oil, tamanu oil and rosehip seed oil.

Why emu oil?

Why tamanu oil?

TAMANU OIL

Possesses a unique capacity to promote the formation of new tissue, thereby accelerating wound healing and the growth of healthy skin. This process is known as cicatrization. For this reason, it is a widely used traditional topical aid. In Pacific island folk medicine, tamanu oil is applied liberally to cuts, scrapes, burns, insect bites and stings, abrasions, acne and acne scars, psoriasis, diabetic sores, anal fissures, sunburn, dry or scaly skin, blisters, eczema, herpes sores, and to reduce foot and body odor. Tamanu oil is also massaged into the skin to relieve neuralgia, rheumatism and sciatica. The oil is employed by Polynesian women for promoting healthy, clear, blemish-free skin, and is also used on babies to prevent diaper rash and skin eruptions.

And why sea buckthorn berry oil?
It is remarkably high in all the essential fatty acids (Omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9), and rich in carotene and flavinoids. This makes it wonderful for cell regeneration and skin-softening!

SUMMER IS HERE!
It saddens me greatly to have to instate the annual shipping moratorium on lotions, scrubs, body butters and creams. They are simply too compromised by traveling through the excessive heat.

If you really really need a shipment, please contact me, and I can check and see what we can work out with ice packs and expedited shipping... it will of course raise your shipping cost, but at least it's an option!

I have set the product count numbers to zero on all the affected products, so that they can't be put into a shopping cart. I don't want to take them off the site totally, because these items will of course be available year-round for local pickup at the farmer's markets!
